0 n G <br />Drug Seizure Funds — appropriate $31,580 from Federal Justice Drug Seizure Fund <br />Balance to purchase tactical gear for the Drug Division. <br />Library — appropriate $14,868 received from a State Library Grant Award, as well as a <br />$3,717 gift from Friends of the Library to purchase two self-service check-out Kiosks <br />stations. <br />Health — appropriate $3,225 of additional funding awarded by the State to purchase <br />vaccines, as well as $9,782 in TANF funds awarded by the State to support the Barbers <br />and Beauticians Program (Teen Pregnancy). <br />Airport — correct FY 2015-16 Airport Operating Budget quarterly appropriation amount. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to approve Budget Amendment # 05/16/16/18 as presented, a copy of <br />which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Monthly Financial Report for the month of April 2016 was presented. No action was taken. <br />County Manager John Crumpton presented his Monthly Report for May 2016, a copy of which is <br />attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. The Budget Work Session <br />scheduled for Monday, May 23, 2016 was discussed. It was noted that the Boys & Girls Club had <br />incorrectly asked for the wrong amount of money for the upcoming year. Their request should have been <br />for $10,000 instead of the $3,500 requested. After discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to support <br />the amended amount of funds for the Boys & Girls Club from $3,500 to $10,000. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives asked that a list be provided for the Budget Work Session of what SAGA <br />has done over the past two years. <br />Chair Dalrymple discussed the Occupancy Tax (SB 874) that was recently introduced in the <br />Senate. It was noted the Chair of the House Local Government Committee stated that SB 874, as <br />currently drafted, will not pass the House. Commissioner Reives moved for the Chair to sign a letter, <br />along with Sanford Mayor Chet Mann, asking that the Bill be re -written or re -drafted in order to pass in <br />the Senate. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />
