Box 3729, Sanford, N.C. 27331-3729 Robert L. 13ridWell, AICP <br />Director <br />June 4, 2010 <br />Dear Adjacent Property Owner: <br />The Zoning Ordinance of Lee County, North Carolina requires that adjacent property owners be <br />notified when a request for a change in zoning classification (rezoning) has been scheduled for a <br />public hearing before the Lee County Board of Commissioners' and Planning Board. <br />This notice is hereby given that the Lee County Board of Commissioners and Planning Board will <br />hold a joint public hearing on Monday, June 21, 2010 in the Commissioners' Board Room at the Lee <br />County Government Center 106 Hillcrest Drive. Sanford. NC. The hearing will begin at 6:00 p.m. <br />or as soon thereafter as deemed practical by the Board. The rezoning application is described below: <br />1. Application by E. Stephen Stroud, Triassic LLC, Linda B. Wicker, Jimmie L. Thomas <br />and Hobert & Sandra Wicker to rezone from Residential Agricultural district 19 tracts <br />• of land on approximately 491.48-acres that is located northeast of Colon Road, east <br />and west of Jefferson Davis Highway (US#1), and being east of Deep River Road and <br />south of Zion Church Road. Included in the tracts are the residences located at 4416, <br />4564 and 4616 Colon Road. The applicants are requesting to rezone 60.359-acres of <br />the land to General Commercial (C-2) district and 431.124-acres of the land to Light <br />Industrial (LI) district The tracts are further described as Lee County Tax Parcels <br />9656-21-1854, 9656-40-4064, 9656-30-2798, 9656-21-8042, 9656-21-3414, 9656-21- <br />6195, and 9656-30-6363 to General Commercial (C-2) district, and Tax Parcels 9656- <br />12-9991, 9656-32-0572, 9656-33-6617, 9656-53-7929, 9656-64-5263, 9656-52-8194, <br />9656-42-9136, 9656-50-9252, 9656-61-6791, 9656-31-6495, 9656-31-3906, and 9656- <br />40-5730 to Light Industrial (LI) district. The tracts are depicted on Tax Maps 9655.01, <br />9655.02, 9656.01, 9656.02, 9656.03 and 9656.04 Lee County Land Records Office. A <br />map of the tracts proposed to be rezoned is available for public review at the Planning <br />and Development Office located at 900 Woodland Avenue, Sanford, NC, Monday- <br />Friday, between 8:00 am. and 5:00 p.m. <br />The public is cordially invited to attend. Further information may be obtained from the <br />Sanford/Lee County Community Development Department, 900 Woodland Avenue, Sanford, NC <br />27330 or by calling (919) 718-4656.
