Commissioner Winstead then moved that the property owned by the County on the north side of the pumping station road and north and east of the County School Garage be leased to the Sanford City Board of Education for a period of 20 years at a yearly rental of $1.00 on the condition that the lease contain a provision that the property be used for useful purposes and projects and that the projects be kept up. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Kelly and the same was unanimously adopted. - Mrs. Edith Park, Acting Superintendent of Public Welfare, came before the Board and presented Mrs. Laura B. Rosser. Mrs. Park in- formed the Board that she had resigned as Acting Superintendent of Public Welfare, effective at the end of the current weeks and that Mrs. Rosser had been selected to replace her. Mrs. Park and Mrs. Rosser then discussed with the Board the activities of the Welfare Department for the month of September, 1957. Dr. Jack C. Robertson, County Health Officer, reported on the activities of the Health Department. Dr. Robertson also presented the report 4 Mr. Hugh Talley, County Sanitarian. D. F. Holder, Sheriff presented a monthly report of the activ- ities of the Sheriff Department. W. H. Campbell, County Tax Collector, presented monthly report of the activities of his office for the month of September, 1957. There being no further business to come before the Board, on motion made and seconded, the meeting was adjourned. Chairman Attested: Secretary
