Brinn asking that a road located in West Sanford Township running <br /> from Spring Lane southward to the City Limits and known as Brinn Drive <br /> be added to the State Highway System and maintained by the State Highway. <br /> Commission. The motion for the adoption of the petition was seconded by <br /> and <br /> Commissioner Winstead/the same was adopted by a majority vote of the <br /> board. <br /> On motion of Commissioner Cheshire, which motion was seconded by <br /> Commissioner Winstead, the County Tax Attorney was instructed to <br /> immediately advertise and sell at public auction all property now owned by <br /> the County which was acquired under tax foreclosure. <br /> Commissioner Kelly moved that V. Diffie Buchanan be refunded purchase <br /> price of $27. 00 and taxes in the amount of $6. 73 paid Lee County since 1943 <br /> by thejsaid V. Diffie:-Buchanan on property purported to have been sold to him <br /> under tax foreclosure, which property was purported to have been located <br /> in Jonesboro Township and listed to Ileene Dark, for that said property was <br /> and <br /> non-existant. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Winstead/the <br /> same was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board. <br /> Daniel W. Simering of Route 8, Jonesboro Heights Station, Sanford, N. Cu <br /> came before the Board to make application for appointment as constable <br /> for Jonesboro Township. Action on this application was postponed pending <br /> receipt of information as to whether the constable heretofore appointed for <br /> said Township had officially resigned. <br /> Dr. Jack C. Robertson, County Health Officer, presented the monthly <br /> report of the County Health Department. <br /> Hugh Talley, County Sanitarian, presented monthly report of his <br /> activities for the month of December, 1957. <br />
