® • <br /> ® <br /> %� U <br /> MINUTES OF SPECIAL CALLED MEETING <br /> OF <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> March 10, 1958 <br /> The Board of Commissioners of Lee County met in Special called <br /> session in the Commissioners Room,at the Courthouse on Monday, March <br /> 10, 1958 at 1;00 o'clock P. M. , after due notice as required by law, with <br /> the following members of the Board present for dispatch of business. <br /> Commissioners Percy Measamer, Clyde J. Atkins, J. M. Cheshire <br /> and Evander C. Winstead. • <br /> Chairman Percy Measamer presided and the following business was <br /> transacted. <br /> The Chairman announced that the Sanford City Board of Education had <br /> requested that it be allowed to send Mr. S. Del Mastro and a committee of <br /> its members.to discuss with the Board of Commissioners a proposal to <br /> establish an Industrial Educational Center in' the City of Sanford. Mr. Del <br /> Mastro and Dr. M. C. Covington and J. Harvey Faulk, members of the <br /> Sanford'City Board of Education were present and presented in detail the <br /> proposal advanced by the State Department of Public Instruction for the <br /> Establishment of Industrial Education Centers at various locations throughout <br /> the State. <br /> After detailed discussion of the proposal, Commissioner Atkins intro- <br /> duced and moved the adoption of the following resolution, to-wit: <br />
