e. .• 0,V • • • • • MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING • 'OF THE • BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS • April 8, 1958 The Board of Commissioners of Lee County met at 10:00 o'clock A. M. on Tuesday, April 8, 1958 in the Commissioners Room at the courthouse pursuant to motion of adjournment 'of April 7, 1958. Commissioners J. M. Cheshire, Percy Measamer, Evander Winstead, Sion H. Kelly and Clyde J. Atkins were present for dispatch of business. Chairman Measamer presided and the following business was transacted: W. D. Gregson, Veteran Service Officer, Presented the monthly report of his office. D. F. Holder, Sheriff, presented monthly report for the Sheriff's Department. The Chairman read a letter from Mrs. CatherinaG. Taylor, Secretary of the Lee County Library Board of Trustees; in which letter Mrs. Taylor submitted the nomination of James R. McIver as a member of the Lee County Library Board of Trustees. On motion of Commissioner Winstead, seconded by Commissioner Atkins, the nomination of the said James R. McIver, as a member of the Lee County Library Board of Trustees, was unanimously approved for a term ending December 31, 1963. On motion of Commissioner Atkins, which motion was seconded by , ,,Commissioner Winstead, the Board authorized-Dr., J. M.' McKinnon, County Veterinarian, to advertise dates -and places of the vaccination program,for all dogs in Lee County and to handle said program and vaccination in the same manner as during the last year? • • Commissioner Winstead mbved .the'adoption of a road petition submitted by W. D. Belton, which' petition requested that a road in Jonesboro Township in the Homemont Subdivision running from the-Cox road west along Truelove Street, Cooper Street, Cole Street and Forrest Avenue be added to the Highway System and maintained by the State Highway Commission. The motion for the adoption of said petition was seconded by Commissioner Atkins and the same ��was unanimously adopted.
