cA MINUTES OF SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS June 26, 1958 . The Board'of Commissioners of Lee Counf met in special' called session in the Commissioners Room at the Courthouse,on •Thursday, June 26, 1958, at 1:00 o'clock P. M. , after due notice 'as required by law. The following members of the Board were present for dispatch of business. Commissioners Sion H. Kelly, Evander C. Winstead, J. M. Cheshire , Clyde J. Atkins and Percy Measamer. Chairman Percy Measamer presided and the following business was transacted:, The budget estimate as filed for the fiscal year 1958-1959 was presented to the Board and discussed item by item. After full consideration of the various items of the budget, Commissioner Atkins offered and moved the adoption of the following resolution, to-wit: WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County has considered the various, item of the budget estimate for the fiscal year 1958- 1959; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Lee County that the said' budget estimate for the expenses of operation of the County of Lee and its various agencies and departments for the fiscal year 1958-1959 be and the same is hereby tentatively adopted as the budget of Lee County for the said fiscal year; and the tax rate for said County of Lee be and the same is hereby tentative fixed and established at $1. 35 for each $100. 00 valuation of • 'the taxable property for the fiscal year 1958-1959; and that a special tax of 15 cents be levied oh each $100. 00 valuation of taxable property in the Sanford Graded School District and the,Jonesb,oro'Graded School District for the fiscal year 1958-1959. .. . • Be it further resolved that. said"budget be filed and lie.on the table in the Office of the Register of Deeds of said County for at least 20 days for public inspection and that a summary of said budget or notice .of filing of said budget'
