Mrs. Laura Rosser, Supt. of Public Welfare, presented monthly <br /> report of the activities of the County Welfare Department. <br /> On motion of CommissionerI, which motion was seconded by Commissioner <br /> Cheshire, a road application submitted by W. M. Womble was unanimously <br /> approved. The aforesaid road petition requested the State Highway <br /> Commission to add to the State Highway System and maintain a road running <br /> from U. S. No. 1 By-pass to McNeill Road and being known as Forest Drive, <br /> Sussex Avenue and Dellwood'Street of the. Forest Httll Development; In <br /> connection with said motion, it was pointed out that the aforesaid road or <br /> streets had been paved according to State Highway Commission Standards. <br /> E. P. Clark, Custodian of the Courthouse, reported upon the condition <br /> of all buildings owned by the County. <br /> W. H. •Campbell, County Tax Collector, reported upon the collection <br /> of taxes during the month of October, 1958. <br /> Dr. N. R. Carter, County Health Officer, presented monthly report <br /> of the County Health Department. <br /> Hugh Talley, County Sanitarian, presented monthly report of his <br /> activities. <br /> By unanimous consent and approval of the Board a policy for vacation <br /> and sick leaves for all County Employees was established as follows: <br /> 1. No,paid vacation or sick leaves for employees with less than one <br /> year's service. v <br /> G <br /> 2. One wee%aid vacation and 10 days sick leave for all employees <br /> with not less than one year's service nor more 'than three year service. AI - <br /> Provided sick leaves shall not be cumulative. . <br /> 3. Two weeks paid vacation and 10 days sick leave •for:employees <br /> with three or more years continued service. Sick leave not to be cumulative. <br /> 4.
