0 C 4.1• <br /> i 1 <br /> " A BILL TO BE ENTITLED'AN ACT RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF <br /> POOL ROOMS ON SUNDAY IN THE RURAL AREAS OF LEE COUNTY: <br /> The, General Assembly of North Carolina do enact: <br /> Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to <br /> operate or keep open a pool or billard room at any place in Lee County on <br /> Sunday outside of the corporate limits of the City of Sanford. <br /> Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions <br /> of this act shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $50, 00 or imprisonment <br /> for not more than 30 days in the discretion of the court. . <br /> Section 3: All laws and clauses of law in conflict with this act are <br /> hereby repealed. <br /> Section 4: This act shall be in full force and effect upon its radification. " <br /> On motion of Commissioner Measamer, which motion was seconded by <br /> Commissioner Groce, the following ear special act was unanimously approved. <br /> and ordered forwarded to the Honorable J. Shelton Wicker and introduced for <br /> passage in the General Assembly, to-wit: <br /> "A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF <br /> LOUD SPEAKERS, RADIOS, PICCOLOS, PHONOGRAPHS OR OTHER <br /> MACHINERY OR DEVICES FOR THE REPRODUCTION OF MUSICAL AND <br /> HUMAN VOICES OUTSIDE OF BUILDINGS AFTER 1.1:00 O'CLOCK AT <br /> NIGHT IN THE RURAL AREAS OF LEE COUNTY: <br /> The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact: <br /> Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation in <br /> the rural areas of Lee County outside the corporate limits of the City of <br /> Sanford between the hours of 11:00 o'clock P. M. and 7:30 o'clock A. M. to <br /> play or operate any loud speaker, radio, piccolo, phonograph, musical <br /> devices or other machinery or device of any kind whatsoever for the <br /> reproduction of musical and human voices or a combination thereof, in such <br /> a way and manner and at such pitch as to produce such volume of sound as <br /> to annoy and disturb any person or persons living inthe vicinity thereof, <br /> or so as to constitute a nuisance to the general public, or to any one person; <br /> provided nothing herein shall be construed to prevent the lawful operation <br /> of duly licensed drive in theatres. <br /> Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions <br /> of this act shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $50, 00 and imprisonment <br /> for not more than 30 days in the discretion of the court. <br /> Section 3; All laws and clauses of law in conflict with this law are <br /> hereby repealed. <br /> Section 4: 'This law shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br /> radification.
