That for the said special tax in Sanford Graded School District <br /> for the purpose of supplementing the current expense of operating the schools <br /> in said district at a higher standard than otherwise provided according to the <br /> appropriation resolution adopted for the fiscal year .ending June 30, 1960, an <br /> ad valorem tax of fifteen cents on each one hundred dollars valuation of taxable <br /> property within said school district shall be levied and collected, said fund to be <br /> used solely for the purpose of said Sanford Graded School District. <br /> • <br /> Section 21. That for said special tax in Jonesboro Graded School District <br /> for the purpose of supplementing the current expense of operating the schools in <br /> said District at a higher standard than otherwise provided according to the <br /> appropriations resolution adopted for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1960, an <br /> ad valorem tax of fifteen cents on each one hundred dollars valuation of taxable <br /> property within the said school district shall be levied and collected, said <br /> fund to be used solely for the purpose of said Jonesboro Graded School District. <br /> Section 22. There is hereby levied for the twelve months beginning June <br /> 1, 1959, a privilege license tax in the maximum amount permitted•by Schedule <br /> B of the Revenue Act, being Article 2 of Chapter 105 of the General Statutes <br /> of North Carolina, and by any other section or sections of the General Statutes, <br /> on each business, trade, occupation and profession which counties are authorized <br /> • <br /> and permitted to tax under Schedule B, of the Revenue Act and by other sections <br /> of the General Statutes; and under the sections of the General Statutes which <br /> do not set such maximum amount, there is hereby levied for the twelve months <br /> beginning June 1, 1959, the following: (1) a privilege license tax in the amount <br /> of $200. 00 upon any person engaged in the practice of phrenology as defined and <br /> permitted to be taxed under the provisions of G. S. 105-48; (2) a privilege <br /> license tax in the amount of $200. 00 on any Gypsies or strolling bands of persons <br /> as defined and permitted to be taxed under the provisions of G. S. 105-58; (a); <br /> (3) a privilege license tax in the amount of $200. 00 on any person engaged in <br /> fortune telling or the practice of palmistry, clairvoyance and other crafts of <br /> similar kind as defined and permitted to be taxed under G. S. 105-58 (b) who <br /> are granted the right o practice such arts and crafts under Chapter 766, Session <br /> Laws of 1955. <br /> .Section 23. Copies of this resolution shall be furnished to the County Accountant <br /> to be kept on file for her direction in the disbursement of County Funds. <br /> Upon a roll call vote on said resolutions,op��- the fg llowing Commissioners voted tp-d— <br /> on sai motion: Z Ld4nvt.P/b , !(/iGYM1 Ali "JMA-tom <br /> No one voted against it.
