Corinth, Avent's Ferry Bridge, Sanford, Carbonton, Asheboro to High Point. • -The motion for the adoption, of this resolution was seconded by Commissioner Measamer and the' same was adopted by the unanimous vote. of the Board. • Mrs. Laura 8o'sser,. Superintendent of Public Welfare,. presented the monthly report of the Welfare Department. ' • William M. Womble, Chairman, and Mrs. J. T. Davenport, Lee County Public Welfare Board members, requested. that the Board of • Commissioners lease from Wilkins Supply Company a house located on Martin Street near Makepeace Street, for the Welfare Office: • .J. G. Edwards, Attorney for Wilkins Supply Company presented a • contract which provided that the County lease said property from Wilkins Supply Company on the condition that , certain repairs and additions to the building be completed at a monthly rental of $250.00. Thereupon, Commissioner MeasaMer moved that the Chairman of the Board and the Clerk to the Board be authorized and directed to execute said contract and agreement for and-.in behalf of the • County. This motion was adopted by the unanimous vote of the • Board and. the Clerk was' authorized to file copy of said contract and.-agreement with other official papers of the Board. - • Dr.' E: R.
