On motion of Commissioner Measamer, <br /> which motion was seconded by Commissioner Winstead, Miss Mary <br /> Estelle Doyle was unanimously elected by the Board to succeed Mrs. <br /> Patterson as Lee County Home Economics Agent at the same salary as <br /> had been.paid Mrs. Patterson. <br /> On motion of Commissioner Groce, which motion was seconded by <br /> Commissioner Measamer, the Board unanimously authorized the purchase <br /> of a portable scales for the Farm Extension Service for the sum, of $500. 00. <br /> Mrs. Laura D. Rosser, Superintendent of Public Welfare, <br /> presented the monthly report of the Welfare Department. <br /> W. H. Campbell, Lee County Tax Collector, presented a 'report <br /> of the collections of taxes for the month of November, 1959. <br /> On motion of Commissioner Groce, which motion was seconded by <br /> Commissioner Atkins, the time for the Clerk of Superior Court to file his <br /> annual audit was extended to the first Monday in January, 1960. <br /> Dr. E. .R. Shanahan, Lee County Health Officer, presented the <br /> monthly report of the Health Department and the monthly report of the <br /> County Sanatarian. <br /> E. P.
