of the County of Lee for their approval or disapproval, in order to comply with the Constitution and Laws of North Carolina; NOW, THEREFORE, ' BE IT RESOLVED by the Board pf Commissioners of the County of Lee as follows: • • (1) The questions whether the qualified voters of the County of Lee shall approve or disapprove the bond orders described in the notice hereinafter set forth and the.indebtedness to be incurred by the issuance . of the bonds authorized by such bond orders shall be submitted to the , • qualified voters of the County of Lee at the General Election to be held in' said County on November 8, 1960, . (2) The •Clerk of the Board of Commissioners is hereby . authorized and directed to publish a notice.of submission of the 'questions at said General Election in substantially the following form: COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA • . NOTICE OF SUBMISSION OF PROPOSITIONS AT THE GENERAL • . •ELECTION TO BE HELD" ON NOVEMBER 8, 1960 ' NOTICE`IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the General Election to be held in the County of Lee, North Carolina, on: November 8, 1960, there will be ' submitted to the -qualified voters of said•County, for their approval or dis= approval,'the questions whether the qualified voters of said County shall ' approve the indebtedness to be incurred by the issuance of'bonds of said County. of the maximum principal amount of $1, 938, 000 and the levy of a tax for the payment'thereof, and also,approve the bond orders adopted by the Board of Commissioners of said County on September 6, 1960, which authorize the issuance of said bonds and the levy of such tax. • The voting machines used at said election to record the votes will be such as will permit the voters to vote, separately, for and against each of the bond orders described in the following questions. • QUESTION NO, 1 The bond order authorizing $600, 000 bonds to ',finance ' the erection of an addition to the .public hospital operated and maintained by the County of Lee for the • • use of the inhabitants of the County, and the acquisition • . of the equipment suitable, for its use as a part of such hospital, and a tax therefor. QUESTION NO. 2 • The bond order authorizing $150, 000 bonds to finance the erection.of a new building to be used as a county jail on a parcel of land adjoining ' the site of the present county jail, heretofore , acquired by the County, and the acquisition-of the ' • equipment suitable for its use, and a tax therefor. QUESTION NO. 3 • • The bond order authorizing $913, 000 bonds to finance the erection of new school buildings and the enlargement and reconstruction of existing , school buildings and the acquisition of.>land and • furnishings and equipment for such new or enlarged • or reconstructed school buildings, and a tax.therefor;
