• <br /> And it appearing to the Board that said settlement statement had been <br /> • examined by the County Auditor and the same found to be in order, <br /> • Commissioner Winstead thereupon moved the adoption of the following <br /> resolution: <br /> • <br /> BE IT gESO V J at the audit and.settlement statement of the <br /> Lee CountyAry y^ �cf r the 1959 tax levy be and the same is hereby approved <br /> and ordered filed and recorded. • <br /> • BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the tax books for the year 1960 be <br /> certified by the Chairman of the Board and attested by the Clerk and the <br /> same delivered to W. H. Campbell, Tax Collector,• of Lee County for <br /> • collection, said certificate being as follows, to-wit: <br /> You are hereby authorized, empowered and commanded to collect <br /> . the 1960 taxes set forth in the tax books, filed in the Office • • <br /> • of the Tax Supervisor; and in the tax receipts herewith <br /> delivered to you, in the' amounts and from the taxpayers like- <br /> wise therein set out, and such taxes are hereby declared to <br /> be a first lien on all real property of the respective tax- <br /> . payers in Lee County, and this order shall be a full and <br /> sufficient authority to direct, require and enable you to levy <br /> • on and sell any real or personal property of such taxpayers, <br /> for and on account thereof, in accordance with law. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded <br /> by Commissioner Measamer. <br /> Those voting for said'm.otioitwere Commissioners Measamer, <br /> Winstead, Atkins and Kelly, <br /> Those voting against said motion were: none. <br /> ' E. P. Clark, Custodian of the Courthouse, reported upon the <br /> condition of all buildings owned by the County. • <br /> After detailed discussion it was unanimously resolved by' the Board <br /> that the sum of $100. 00 be applied to the Sandhill Area Development <br /> Association to defray the ,costs of said organization, which said organization <br /> was set up for the purpose of assisting in the orderly development of Lee <br /> County and the surrounding Counties. • <br /> Commissioner Winstead moved that the Tax Collector be solely • <br /> .responsible for collecting all ad valorem taxes due Lee County, including <br /> back taxes. Commissioner Atkins seconded said motion and the same <br /> was unanimously adopted. ' • <br /> On motion of Commissioner Winstead, which motion was seconded by <br /> • Commissioner Atkins, it was unanimously resolved that the County Tax <br /> Collector be relieved of taxes in the amount of $122. 16 assessed for the <br /> year 1960 against the property of Sarah K. Maness Estate in West Sanford <br /> Township, as said property had been acquired by the Sanford Development <br /> Corporation, a non-profit corporation, and as said property will be used <br /> for public parking purposes. <br /> Commissioner Measamer moved that the following resolution be <br /> adopted: <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has adopted the bond <br /> orders hereinafter described authorizing the issuance of the $1, 938, 000 <br /> bonds authorized by the bond orders adopted by the Board of Commissioners <br /> on September 6, 1960, and such bond orders and the indebtedness to be <br /> incurred by the issuance of such bonds, should be submitted to the voters <br />
