Commissioner Winstead moved the_adpption of the following resolution with respect to the request for the addition of the roads in the Carbonton Heights Subdivision to the State maintained Secondary Road System: • WHEREAS, the attached petition has been filed with the Board of County Commissioners Of the County of Lee • . requesting that the.above described re ad; the location of which has been indicated fti red on the atberl7P'► mass, be added to the Secondary Road systems and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion that the above described road should be added to the Secondary Road System, if the road meets minimum standard& and criteria established by the State Highway Commission Sr the addition of roads to the System. NOW, THEREFORE, bent resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Lee that the State Highway Cotrunission is hereby requested to review the above described road, and to take over the road for maintenance if it meets established-standards ant criteria. Mr. E. P. Clark:,' Superintendent of the County Buildings, gave a report on the conditions of all-bu&ldinge owned by.the County. Mr. j. G. Edwards, a member of the Lee County Board of Educatissn, appeared at the request of the Commissioners avid discussed with them the contract rereantly let for a principal's 'home in Deep'River Township. •Mr. • Edwards advised the Board that the funds in excess of the $12,000 amount set up in the bond issue would be'paid out of the capital outlay funds presently on hand. Discussion was then heard on the recommendation of the Local Government Commission with respect to offering $1,000; 000 worth of bonds on A,prii '11th. • Upon motion of Commissioner Winstead, which was seconded by Commissioner C-ox, and duly carried, it was RESOLVED that the $1,000, 000 offering consist of $275,000 for the Industrial Education Center, $150,000 for the Jail, ,$293,000 for Lee County Hospital, and$282,000 for Schools, and that the bonds may be dated May 1, 1961, and mature annually on May 1st, is the -fiscal years through 1986; and that said bonds be payable at the Chen iical Bank Nev York Trust Company, New York City, •or at Wachovia Rend & Trust Company, Raleigh, and that the legal opinion be printed on the bends. The Chairman announced that henceforth the Health Department will make its monthly report at 11:45 A. M. jurors for the 1961 Term of Criminal Court in Lee County Superior Court for March 27, were drawn as follows:
