; <br /> • <br /> Chairman Atkins then opened the floor for nominations for position <br /> as Tax Collector. Commissioner Grace nominated Mr. Paul Lucas to be <br /> Tax Collector to fill out the unexpired term of W. Hasty Campbell, who had <br /> resigned. - <br /> Cotmnissioner Winstead seconded Mr. Lucas's nomination. There <br /> being no further nominations, Chairman Atkins declared the nominations <br /> closed. Upon a roil call vote the Commissioners voted as follows: • <br /> • <br /> • Aye: Cox, Grace, Measamer, Winstead and 'Atkins. , <br /> No: None: <br /> Chairman Atkins then declared Mr. Paul Lucas duly, elected as Tax <br /> Collector of Lee County. Chairman Atkins then declared the floor open <br /> for nominations for the office of Tax Supervisor. Commissioner Cox <br /> nominated Mr. James L. Clark to serve as Tax- alric:tor until June 30, <br /> 1962. Commissioner Winstead seconded the nomination. There being no <br /> further nominations, Chairman Atkins declared the nominations closed. <br /> Upon a roll call vote the Commissioners voted as follows: . . <br /> • <br /> Aye: Cox, Croce, :Measanner, Winstead and Atkins., <br /> ho:O.-done <br /> On motion of Commissioner Croce, duly seconded, and upon a roll <br /> call vote unanimously carried, it was • <br /> RESOLVED that the sum of $200.00 of the unappropriated <br /> surplus of the general fund be expended to promote the Sanford <br /> Tobacco Market. <br /> There being no further business to come before the,Session, upon•• <br /> motion•duly made,' seconded and,affirmatively carried, the meeting was . . <br /> adjourned.
