• <br /> 900E 6_ P4 E 4:7 <br /> Commissioner Cox moved the adoption of the following Resolution: <br /> WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners has considered <br /> the various items for the budget estimate for the fiscal year 1962- ' <br /> 63: 'NOW THEREFORE, <br /> BE IT'RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> ' OF LEE COUNTY that said Budget Estimate for the expenses of <br /> the operation of the County of Lee and its various agencies and <br /> departments for the fiscal year 1962-63, be and the same is hereby <br /> tentatively adopted as the budget of Lee County for said fiscal year; <br /> and the tax rate for said County of Lee be and the same is hereby <br /> tentatively fixed and established at $1. 25 for each $100.00 valuation <br /> of the taxable property for the fiscal year 1962-63; and that a special <br /> tax of 10¢ on each $100.00 valuation of taxable property in the <br /> Sanford Graded School District and the Jonesboro Graded School <br /> District for the fiscal year 1962-63. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Budget be filed and <br /> lie on the table in the office of the Register of Deeds of Lee County <br /> for at least 20 days for public inspection, and that a summary of <br /> said budget or notice of filing of said budget in the office of the <br /> Register of Deeds be published in the Sanford Herald at lease 20 <br /> days before it is finally adopted as the budget for the fiscal year <br /> 1962-63. <br /> Commissioner Groce seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote the <br /> Commissioners voted as follows: <br /> Aye: Cox, Groce, Kelly, Winstead and Atkins. <br /> No: None <br /> The written report of Mr. Hugh Talley, County Sanitarian, was <br /> presented to the Board, <br /> Mr. E. P. Clark, Superintendent of County Buildings, appeared before <br /> the Board and gave a report on the condition of the County Buildings. <br /> Bids were open with respect to the sewer lines to be installed at the <br /> County Home. Upon the motion of Commissioner Cox, which was duly sec- <br /> onded and unanimously carried, the contract to install sewer lines at the <br /> County Home was awarded to McCracken Electrical & Plumbing Company <br /> of Sanford, at the bid price of $363. 54. <br /> After examination of the bids to patch and re-surface the parking lot <br /> at the County Health Center and the parking lot at the County Courthouse, <br /> upon motion of Commissioner Winstead, which was duly seconded and <br /> unanimously carried, contract was awarded to the State Highway & Public <br /> Works Commission, at their bid price of $396.50, for the work at the Health <br /> Center and $1, 397. 50 for the work-at the County Courthouse. <br /> Jurors were drawn as follows: <br />
