Fr. .. BOOK 6 PACE 69 Mr. James A. Pippin, District Forester, appeared before the Board relative to the vacancy created by the death of Archie C. Farrell, Lee County Forest Ranger. He discussed employment of a forestry aide instead of a ranger. Commissioner Cox moved the adoption of the following resolution with respect to Archie C. Farrell, Lee County Forest Ranger: "WHEREAS, Archie C. Farrell, Lee County Forest Ranger, died on the 27th day of August, 1962; and WHEREAS, Archie C. Farrell rendered loyal, faithful, dedicated and devoted service to the people of Lee County in the field of woodland conservation: NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY: Section 1. As a token of respect and esteem, the Board of County Commissioners expresses its profound sorrow at the passing of Archie C. Farrell and its gratitude for the services which he rendered to his County and State and to the Forest Service. Section 2. This Resolution shall be incorporated inthe permanent minutes of this Board as a tribute and continuing expression of respect to the memory of Archie Farrell. Section 3. A copy of this Resolution shall be sentto.- Mrs. Archie C. Farrell. " Current bills were presented and approved as noted thereon . The minutes of the regular meeting of 6 August-1962 and the minutes of the special meeting of 29 August 1962 were approved. . ' _ c_- , I _ Mr. W. M. Womble and Mrs. Mable Ennis, 'members of-the.Welfare Board and Mrs. Laura Rosser, Director, appeared before the-Board relative to the breakdown of the administrative appropriation.' -The Board approved the breakdown of the budget as proposed by the Welfare Board.
