• ice'•ally BE 1T RESOLVED by the said Sanford City Board of Fitintlon that the Board of Commissioners of Lee County be requested to grant to the Sanford City Board of Educatl= authority as follows: 1. That the Sanford City Board of Education be authorized to proceed with plans to construct a new building for the West Sanford Elementary School and to let a contract for the construction of same and that funds be made available tram the proceeds of achoel bends for the planning and construction of said building. 2. That the Sanford City Board of Education be authorized to proceed with plans to eruct an addition to the Central High School buitdin•; for Student Union Center and to let'a contract for the construction of same and,that funds be made available from the proceeds of school bonds .for the planning.and citnatruction of said building; 3. •That the Sanford City Board of Education be authorized to pro, • _ with plane to make improveznems on the school grounds at the new West Sanford Elementary Scheel, Central High School and Floyd L. Knight School and to acquire furniture and fixtures retail-red for staid West Sanford Elementary School, Central High School and Floyd L. Kni ; School. . After discussion of the request made by Os Santora City Ord of Education and refereaee to the Bond Order of the Board of Comm- Wieners adopted on August 22, 1960. Comrntsaloner Ledwell moved the Ladoptimi of the following resolution: BE IT ' ' L VED by the Board of Comtthioners for Lee County that the Sanford City Board of:Education be.greened authority.to proceed in accordance with their request made this date as ccnutained in the redolution presented to this Board. Commisssionere Atkins seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote the Commissioners v y, as fallen; Aye: Atkins, Cox,- Ledwcell and Kelly Absent; Dottorer No: None County Auditor called the Beard's atteation to the fact that the Sanford City'nciard of Education had outstanding hills far the purchase of furniture and.futures for the new vocational educadcm building for Central Nigh 'M2l for limas which had heretofore been authsted but had teal yet paid to Gaid Board of Education from the bond proceeds. C.nnvntnsioner Atkins moved the adoption of the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee Cowry that the sum of $8,000.00 be paid to the Sanford City Board of Education froth the proceeds of the sale of the Srbr+ol Bead, Series B, and charged against the vocational education building purchase heretofore authorized to be constructed.
