SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OP LEE Wednesday, 11th March 1964 The special meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee convened at 7:30 o'clock p. m. on Wednesday. 11th March 1964, at the Commissioners' Room at Lee County Courthouse, the same bets, the time,da te. and place specified in the notice of the meeting. Those present when the meeting was called to order were: Chairman Sian H. Kelly, Conentesioners,Clyde J. Attains, Edward W. Coe, and J. T. Ledwell. . Commissioner John E. ri• erer was absent. Chairman Sion H. Kelly presided and the following business was transacted: The following members of the Sanford City Board of Rdttemotion appeared before ttie'Board: Dr. P. L. Knight. Chairman J. R. Ingram Harvey Faulk Dr. Cade Covington Mrs. Ethel Quillin J. Mack Amman J. Sd.Davie Superintendent J. P. Hockaday Dr. tfni z , the Mailman, acted as the spokeaman for the group. Dr. lad o'r presented the following resalutien of the Sanford City Board of Education which contained their request. The resolution reads as follows: RESOLUTION OF SANFORD CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF BOND MONEYS FOR SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION AND FACILITIES WHEREAS, the Sanford City Board of Education has dsteraulned, after thorough study, that its existing achol plants and facilities are not adequate for the proper fiance of public schools within the aofrinieetrative milt and that additional school plants and facilities should be constructed in order to tenable the said Floardto main- tain public schools within the units AND WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lea County has heretofore authorized the issuance of school bade of the County of Lee for the aforesaid pur- poses; AND WHEREAS, said wheal of the County of' Lee have bean sold and such funds are now la the hands of the Board of Commissioners of Lee County;
