Chairman Kelly stated the budget was a forward looking <br /> one and reflected a great deal of hard work by the .tt stoners. He stated <br /> he resented the remarks made by Superintendent j. J. Lentz of County Board <br /> of Education to the papers and he thought the Board had been yms roue to both <br /> school administrative units. <br /> Commissioner Datterer moved the adoption of the following <br /> resolution: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that the appropriations for <br /> recreation, rescue squad, library, mental beMMth, end dump be <br /> paid only from funds collected ,,,, non-tax sources. <br /> Commissioner Atkins seconded the motion and upon a vote <br /> the Commissioners voted as follows: <br /> For: Atkins, Dattterrer. .Kel1y <br /> Against: None <br /> Commissicoor Ledweli did not vote. <br /> Chairman Kelly stated that the Board should take some <br /> action since the Tax Collector, Mr. Paul Lucas, was resigning. Comm- <br /> issioner Ledwell stated he was advised that Mr. Lucas had collected ices far <br /> garnishments and executions and that they should be paid over to the County. <br /> Chairman Kelly stated that this would be before the Board when .Mt. Lucas <br /> presented his settlement but the Board had to make some provision for a <br /> collector after 91 July 1964. <br /> Commissioner Dcuterer moved the adoption of the following: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that the Tax Supervisor <br /> be asssigd the additional duty of collecting the taxes for all <br /> levies presently directed to the office of the Tax Collector <br /> from and after 1 August 1964. <br /> Commissioner Ledwell seconded the motion and upon a <br /> vote it was unanimously adopted. <br /> Chairman Kelly requested the press to run an item in <br /> the papers for persons interested in applying for the position of Tax Collector <br /> to file their applications with the County Accountant. <br /> There being no farther business to carve before the <br /> meeting, it was. upon motion seconded and duly adopted, adjourned. <br /> Sian�N.�ReI'ly. �rmaa'_ .. — <br /> AIIast: <br /> Kenneth R.
