JUG o PALE 289 <br /> Mr. W. A. Martin, Director of Lee County Industrial <br /> Education Center, appeared before the Board on behalf of his Board of <br /> Trustees and advised the Commissioners that the Board of Trustees had <br /> advertised for bids for installation of a heating system and that King <br /> Roofing and Manufacturing Company was the low bidder at $7, 600. 00; that <br /> the bid price was within the allocation made in the budget appropriation for <br /> the Industrial Education Center. <br /> Commissioner Cox moved the adoption of the following <br /> resolution: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br /> COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, that the <br /> action of the Board of Trustees of the Lee County <br /> Industrial Education Center, in letting contract. <br /> for the installation of a heating system to the low bidder, <br /> King Roofing and Manufacturing Company, at the cost of <br /> $7, 600. 00, is hereby approved and funds will be made <br /> available for said project. <br /> Commissioner Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a roll <br /> call vote the Commissioners voted as follows: <br /> Aye: Cox, Dotterer, Kelly <br /> Absent: Atkins <br /> Pass: Ledwell <br /> No: None <br /> The Chairman ruled that the motion had carried by a majority <br /> vote. <br /> Chairman Kelly advised the Board that they had been invited <br /> by the Sanford Jaycees to ride in the Christmas Parade to be held on Decembe : <br /> 3, 1964, beginning at 6 o'cicok p. m. <br /> Commissioner Cox reported that informal bidding had been <br /> conducted to plaster the outside walls of the old jail in accordance with the <br /> Grand Jury request and that bids had been obtained as follows: <br /> (1) W. B. Parrish $1, 600. 00 <br /> (2) Westmoreland Plastering Co. . $1, 287. 00 <br /> (3) W. W. Stone $ 750, 00 <br /> No formal action was taken at this time. <br /> Commissioner Cox reported that he had been able to secure <br /> a bid from Mr. Harold Schulz for $385.00, to make the following repairs <br /> at the Lee County Courthouse Annex: <br /> (1) Lay 305 feet floor tile; <br /> (2) Install plywood on floors; <br /> (3) Repair floors in rear of auditorium; <br /> (4) Remove old Pill ars, install new pillars; and shale up <br /> floor; and <br /> (5) Paint rear wall of annex. <br /> Commissioner Cox moved that the bid of Harold Schulz as <br /> herein set forth be accepted and Mr. Schulz authorized to begin work. <br />
