JUG o PALE 289 Mr. W. A. Martin, Director of Lee County Industrial Education Center, appeared before the Board on behalf of his Board of Trustees and advised the Commissioners that the Board of Trustees had advertised for bids for installation of a heating system and that King Roofing and Manufacturing Company was the low bidder at $7, 600. 00; that the bid price was within the allocation made in the budget appropriation for the Industrial Education Center. Commissioner Cox moved the adoption of the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, that the action of the Board of Trustees of the Lee County Industrial Education Center, in letting contract. for the installation of a heating system to the low bidder, King Roofing and Manufacturing Company, at the cost of $7, 600. 00, is hereby approved and funds will be made available for said project. Commissioner Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote the Commissioners voted as follows: Aye: Cox, Dotterer, Kelly Absent: Atkins Pass: Ledwell No: None The Chairman ruled that the motion had carried by a majority vote. Chairman Kelly advised the Board that they had been invited by the Sanford Jaycees to ride in the Christmas Parade to be held on Decembe : 3, 1964, beginning at 6 o'cicok p. m. Commissioner Cox reported that informal bidding had been conducted to plaster the outside walls of the old jail in accordance with the Grand Jury request and that bids had been obtained as follows: (1) W. B. Parrish $1, 600. 00 (2) Westmoreland Plastering Co. . $1, 287. 00 (3) W. W. Stone $ 750, 00 No formal action was taken at this time. Commissioner Cox reported that he had been able to secure a bid from Mr. Harold Schulz for $385.00, to make the following repairs at the Lee County Courthouse Annex: (1) Lay 305 feet floor tile; (2) Install plywood on floors; (3) Repair floors in rear of auditorium; (4) Remove old Pill ars, install new pillars; and shale up floor; and (5) Paint rear wall of annex. Commissioner Cox moved that the bid of Harold Schulz as herein set forth be accepted and Mr. Schulz authorized to begin work.
