BOOTY 6 ?A,E 318 <br /> Upon motion made, seconded and duly adopted, the Clerk <br /> and Sheriff were authorized to sell the personal property located at the <br /> County Home at public auction after giving ten days notice and advertising <br /> not to exceed $10. 00. <br /> Upon a roll call vote all of the Commissioners voted in the <br /> affirmative and the motion was duly adopted. <br /> Commissioner McLeod presented to the Board the <br /> applications received for the position of Superintendent of Grounds and <br /> Buildings. <br /> After discussion and consideration an election was held <br /> and Mr. H. G. Brewer, Jr. was selected to be the Superintendent of <br /> Buildings and Grounds, to serve at the pleasure of the Board from and <br /> after April 1, 1965. <br /> Commissioner McLeod moved the adoption of the following <br /> resolution: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that the salary for the <br /> position of Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds <br /> be set at $300. 00 a month and that there is hereby <br /> appropriated out of the unappropriated surplus in <br /> the General Fund the sum of $950. 00 for salaries <br /> for the present fiscal year. <br /> The motion was duly seconded and upon a roll call vote, the <br /> Commissioners voted as follows: <br /> Aye: Kelly, McLeod, Yow, Dotterer <br /> No: Ledwell <br /> The motion was adopted by a majority vote. <br /> Commissioner Kelly moved the adoption of the following <br /> resolution: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of <br /> Commissioners of Lee County agree to construct <br /> a water line from the corporate limits of the City <br /> of Sanford to the Industrial Site at Castleberry <br /> Property on N. C. 78 from funds derived from non- <br /> tax sources at the following rate, to wit: 3, 340 feet <br /> at a cost not to exceed $4. 00 per feet, and on con- <br /> dition that the developer or user of said property <br /> deposit a bond in the amount of $13, 360. 00, conditioned <br /> upon repayment within three years from taxes on said <br /> property. <br /> Commissioner McLeod seconded the motion and upon a vote <br /> the Commissioners voted as follows: <br /> Aye: Kelly, Ledwell, McLeod, Yow and Dotterer <br /> No: None <br /> Commissioner Yow moved the adoption of the following <br /> resolution: <br /> Page six <br />
