No formal action was taken. <br /> Chairman Dotterer advised the Board that the terms of Mr. Tommy <br /> Mann and Mr. J. Shelton Wicker on the Advisory Board of the Lee County Mental <br /> Health Service and on the Lee County Council on Mental Retardation had expired. <br /> Mr. Wicker had communicated to the Board that he did not desire reappointment. <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner McLeod, seconded by Commissioner Kelly, and <br /> unanimously adopted, the Board resolved to appoint Mr. Tommy Mann and <br /> Dr. Eric Cotter to these positions for a two year term ending 30 June 1967. <br /> Sheriff D. F. Holder stated to the Board that he had received an <br /> application from V. J. Jackson for the position of Constable of Greenwood Township. <br /> The Sheriff presented the application and the written recommendation of 22 <br /> citizens of the township to the Board. Commissioner Yow moved that Mr. V. J. <br /> Jackson be appointed to the office of Constable of Greenwood Township, upon <br /> qualifying as required by law, to fill the unexpired term of A.M. Upchurch until <br /> the next election of constables. (G.S. 151-6) <br /> The jury box was brought into the Commissioners' Room. In the <br /> presence of the Board the box was opened and emptied. The names of all persons <br /> on the new jury list prepared in June having been copied on small scrolls of paper <br /> of equal size, the new scrolls were placed in division number 1 of the jury box. <br /> A child below the age of 10 years was brought into the Commissioners' Room and <br /> drew scrolls from division no. 1 as follows: <br /> PAGE TWO <br />
