Commissioner Yarn seconded the motion and upon a vote <br /> it was unanimously skirted. <br /> Chairman Dctterer called the Beard's attention to the fact that <br /> there would be a i t aict Watling of the N. C. Association of County <br /> Ccrrirntssicnerc at Rockingham. North Carolina. on Tuesday, February 15, <br /> 1966. <br /> The written report of Mrs. Louise Dowdy on behalf of the <br /> Health Department and Mr. Hugh Talley, County Sanitarian, were received <br /> and reprr_ted to the Board. <br /> The Clerk reported that the State Highway Commission had <br /> forwarded notice that Kendal's Road and McDaniel Drive have bean added to <br /> the Secondary Road system maintained by the State. <br /> The minutes of the Regular and Special Meeting held In January <br /> were approved and ordered reoarded. <br /> Commissioner McLeod moved that the Social Security Administaniton <br /> make its Sanford office a resldSint station which would mean that a representative <br /> would be available to serve the public at all times. <br /> Cnrrnaiusior cr Vow seconded the motion and upon a vote it wan <br /> uasnlsoouely adopted. <br /> miss Mary Scott Gorky, Librarian, appeared before the Board <br /> and gave a report on the activities of the County Library. <br /> Doi. Dattcrer reported on his efforts to secure the present post <br /> office site for county purposes. <br /> The Clerk reported on his correspondence with the Adjuvant <br /> General of the State of North Carolina, relative to the Armory In Sanford, <br /> end hie correspondence with Mr. Nathan Yahoo of the Local Government <br /> Employees Retirement System. <br /> Mr. George Freemen and its. Charles Janes from William F. <br /> Frecantne.incorporated, appeared before the Board and gave a rye of <br /> pertosmel and projects and indicated their willingness to ee •as <br /> engineers en any project the County might wish to undertake. <br /> The meeting recessed for lunch at twelve o'clock noon. <br /> Tth meeting reconvened at two o'clock p. in. with all <br /> Commissioners present. <br /> ; man Jon i . Dottcrer presided and the following business <br /> was conducted: <br /> Representatives of tha Division of the Community Plamdng, <br /> N. C. Department of! Conservation and Deveb, eat, appeared before the <br /> Board sand deg;the workings of ter Department cad the types of <br /> surveys which they/conduct. <br /> Thai/monthly statements as tabulate by the County Accountam <br /> were presented for paa}ment. <br /> Co •+;f s oiler Kelly waved that the rrnrsmenta as tabulated <br /> by the County Ace's° be approved .for payment. Comruthsloner Vow <br /> seconded the motion. Upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. • <br /> biz. John Piked, District Extension Chairman, appeared <br /> before the Bberd and discussed plans of the Extension Department with the <br /> i:tea Commissioners. <br />
