Chairman Dotterer joined the meeting and presided over the further <br /> deliberations of the Board. <br /> It was brought to the Board'n attention that ."Mr. Wofford was the <br /> Constable of Jonesboro Township and is still acting in that capacity. <br /> The Clerk was instructed to udvtse Mr. Chalice Worthy that unless <br /> there was a vacancy in the office of Constable they had no authority to make an <br /> appointment and therefore he should not act In this capacity until he was duly <br /> elected and Qualified. <br /> Chairman Dotterer read a letter from the i?orestry Service, giving a <br /> report on their activities in the County. <br /> The Board discussed the complaints that had been received about dogs <br /> in the rural and suburban areas of the county. It was decided to include this topic <br /> in the area for Joint governmental action and dte,cueelon in the study being made by <br /> the Institute of Government. <br /> ;sir. Hugh Brewer, Superintendent of County Buildings, appeared before <br /> the Board and discussed employees hired by his department to work at the Courthouse. <br /> Commissioner Vow moved the adoption of the following; <br /> BE. IT RL.SC.ILVUP BY TN b BOARD OF <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY, that the National <br /> Electrical Code, 1965 iidltioa, air promulgated by the <br /> National Fire Protection Association. In their publication <br /> HP? -70, be adopted as the Electrical Code for Lee County <br /> and that all prior resolutions In conflict with this be hereby <br /> repealed. <br /> Commissioner McLeod seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote, <br /> it was unanimously adopted as follows: <br /> Aye: Kelly, McLeod, low and Dotterer <br /> tterer. <br /> No : None <br /> Commisaloner Kelly moved the adoption of the following resolution: <br /> That the Quniranan be authorized to enter into an <br /> agreement with the authorities of the City of Sanford, for <br /> and on behalf of the Board, that the County Electrical Inspector <br /> would be a Joint City-County Electrical Inspector, and that the <br /> City of Sanford would pay 25%., of the deficient of the costs of <br /> operating the office and that the Electrical Inspector would be <br /> required to attend two (2) staff meetings monthly u4th the City <br /> authorities. <br /> Commissioner McLeod seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br /> unanimously adopted. <br /> Members of the Lee County Board of Education appeared before the <br /> Board and presented a petition requesting that an election be held in their adminis- <br /> trative unit area for a supplemental tax. <br /> After discussion and consideration, Commissioner.
