NORTH CAROLINA <br /> • <br /> LEE COUNTY <br /> PETITION TO CALL AN ELECTION <br /> TO TRANSFER AND PERMANENTLY <br /> ATTACH CONTIGUOUS REAL PROPERTY <br /> TO THE TERRITORY OF THE SANFORD <br /> CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION ADMINIS- <br /> TRATIVE UNIT <br /> / 6 <br /> TO: The Lee County Board of Commissioners: ' <br /> The Lee County Board of Education (hereinafter called <br /> "County Administrative Unit' ) and the Sanford City Board of <br /> Education ("hereinafter called City Administrative Unit") respectfully <br /> request that an election be called at as early a date as is reasonably <br /> possible in certain areas of the County Administrative Unit, <br /> contiguous to the territory of the City Administrative Unit, which <br /> areas are hereinafter specifically described, to ascertain the will <br /> of the voters in said areas as to whether the City Administrative <br /> Unit shalt be enlarged by consolidating such areas with the City <br /> Administrative Unit, and in connection therewith, said petitioners <br /> respectfully show: <br /> A. That the purposes for calling the proposed election <br /> are to ascertain the will of the voters in such areas as to whether <br /> the City Administrative Unit shall be enlarged to include the areas <br /> described and to levy and collect in said areas so consolidated with <br /> the City Administrative Unit the same school taxes as shall be <br /> levied in the other portions of the City Administrative Unit. <br /> B. That legal descriptions of the four areas contiguous <br /> to the present territory of the City Administrative Unit and proposed <br /> to be consolidated with the City Administrative Unit are as <br /> follows: <br />
