. o <br /> BOOK 7 PACE 93 <br /> The monthly bills as tabulated by the County Accountant was pre- <br /> sented for consideration by the Board. <br /> After review, upon motion of Commissioner McLeod, seconded <br /> by Commissioner White, and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED to pay <br /> said bills. <br /> The Board next considered selection of an Architect to conduct a <br /> feasilibity study of the use of the Courthouse building. The letters and materials <br /> submitted by Austin and Faulk, and Hayes, Howell & Associates were considered, <br /> and upon motion of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Yow, it <br /> was RESOLVED to employ the firm of Hayes, Howell & Associates, to conduct <br /> the feasibility study and to request them to submit contract embodying the terms <br /> of their proposal. <br /> The motion was adopted by unanimous roll call vote, as follows: <br /> AYE: McLeod, White, Wicker, Yow and Dotterer <br /> NO: None <br /> Commissioner McLeod moved the adoption of the following resolution <br /> honoring Dr. Leslie H. Campbell, of Campbell College, Buies Creek, North <br /> Carolina: <br /> WHEREAS, DR. LESLIE H. CAMPBELL, <br /> PRESIDENT OF CAMPBELL COLLEGE,.has esteemed <br /> himself in extraordinary fashion; and <br /> WHEREAS; CAMPBELL COLLEGE has made <br /> • tremendous strides under his leadership; and <br /> WHEREAS, his service to CAMPBELL COLLEGE <br /> has extended over a span of fifty five (55) years; and <br /> WHEREAS, his guidance, counsel and leadership <br /> have been of inestimable worth to students from this County; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY: <br /> Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners of <br /> Lee County, do hereby go on record as recognizing DR. <br /> LESLIE H. CAMPBELL for his achievements and leader- <br /> ship at CAMPBELL COLLEGE. <br /> Section 2. That the Board of Commissioners of <br /> Lee County, do express its highest appreciation to DR. <br /> LESLIE H. CAMPBELL, as a ciri7en and leader in the <br /> world of education, and particularly for his services to <br /> CAMPBELL COLLEGE and the youth of this County. <br /> Section 3. That this Resolution shall be duly <br /> certified by the Clerk and copies forthwith transmitted <br /> to the Board of Trustees of CAMPBELL COLLEGE <br /> and to DR. LESLIE H.
