Mr. W. B. Pittman appeared before the Board on bebalf of <br />the mental Health Advisory Board area reported-tit' he had reviewed the same <br />resolutions and agreement which he presented to this Board at the Harnett <br />C minty Board of Cosntadealcuerra and that the aarrangpinentsa for the joint m4eting <br />of t,th Boards had been conVIeted. <br />The Cosmty Attorney was instructed to consult with the manager <br />of the City of Sanford concerning the sale of any jointly owned properties In <br />addition to those late re+queated by the Public Housing Authority. <br />on motion of Commissioner White, seconded by Cornauisssioner <br />Yaw, and unaanimonsiy adapted, it was reslalved to request the Local Government <br />Coma lesion to sell bond anticipation north of 6 months duration its lieu,of issuing <br />than W, Gf)Q School Bonds at the present time. <br />Mr. J. R. Ingrain, Chairman of the Sanford City Board of <br />education, appeardd before the Board and presegted a schedule of capital outlay <br />projects and requested that the Board seek authority tea Issue $3, 000, OW in school <br />moods for the Sanford City Board of Education Administrative Unit. <br />:,fr. Ben Brooke, Superintendent of the Lee County Schools. <br />appeared i)eefore the Board and presented a schedule of capital outlay projects and <br />requested that $2, tom, 6M its school boRdaq be authorized for the Lee County School <br />Adtainistraativ© Wt. <br />After discussion between the school officials and the Board of <br />cnrn mia£ainners. Commissioner White movaad the adoption of the following reaaaluttow <br />Bin, IT RL,SQLVEEI AS FOLLOWS: <br />(1) The Chairman and Clerk of the Bard of <br />Commissioners are authorized and Instructed to file <br />with the Local Government Costaardssion of North <br />Carolina, an application for its approval of $So 000. O <br />In School Bonds on a form prescribed by said Commission <br />and to state in such application such facts and to attach <br />thereto such exhibits regarding such bonds and the County <br />and its financial condition ee may be required by add <br />Commission. <br />(2) That Cleric of the Board of Commissioners <br />is authorized and directed to cause notice of intention to <br />file such application containing the lnformatlaats requilvd <br />by law, to be published once In each of two successive <br />weeks in the Sanford Daily Herald, a Newspaper published <br />at Sanford in the County of Lee, North Carolina. <br />Cortunisasiā¬ners-Wicker seconded the motion and upon at <br />roll call vote, the CoMn4asiontsrs voted as follows: <br />AYL.: MCLeod, white, Wicker, Yow. and Uotterer. <br />NCI.
