The Chairman read to the Board the reply of Nilr. N. W. Pope, head of the Zoological Study Commission. Upon motion of Commissioner Wicker, seconded by Commissioner Yow, it was RESOLVED to appropriate the sum of $50.00 from the unappropriated surplus in the General Fund to contract with the City of Sanford for an extension of their beautification and clean up work in areas of the County not within the corporate limits of the City of Sanford. Mr. Nathan Crissman, Tax Collector, appeared before the Board and gave a report on the collections of his office during the preceding month. The written resignation of Mrs. Mary Alice Crissman, as Secretar of the Board of Veterans Affairs, was presented to the Board and accepted. The minutes of. the last monthly meeting of the Planning Board were presented to the Commissioners and discussed. A certificate of Assuring Compliance with the Federal Civil Rights Law in connection with the application for a grant from the Federal Government to construct a Mental Health Clinic was presented to the Board and upon motion, the Chairman was authorized to execute the certificate for and on behalf of the County. Upon motion of Commissioner Wicker,, seconded by Commissioner Yow, it was unanimously RESOLVED to take bids for 4 police type automobile for use by the Sheriff's Department, at 10:30 o'clock a. m., on April 1, 1968.
