The Chairman read to the Board the reply of Nilr. N. W. Pope, <br />head of the Zoological Study Commission. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Wicker, seconded by Commissioner <br />Yow, it was RESOLVED to appropriate the sum of $50.00 from the unappropriated <br />surplus in the General Fund to contract with the City of Sanford for an extension of <br />their beautification and clean up work in areas of the County not within the corporate <br />limits of the City of Sanford. The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYE; McLeod, White, Wicker, Yow and Dotterer <br />NO: None <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Yow, seconded by Commissioner <br />Wicker, it was RESOLVED to appropriate the sum of $200.00 from the unappropriated <br />surplus in the General .Fund to a reward fund to provide funds to pay rewards of <br />$50.00 to the person provided information lei debris aon the rrest and convi i -an, <br />persona who illegally dump garbage, <br />road. Law Enforcement mroll call vote was as follow s: <br />AYE; McLeod, White, Wicker, Yow and Dotterer <br />NO: None <br />The written report of Mr. john Woods, the electrical inspector, <br />was presented to the Board. <br />Mr. Nathan Crissman, Tax Collector, appeared before the Board <br />and gave a report on the collections of his office during the preceding month. <br />The written resignation of Mrs. Mary Alice Crissman, as Secretar <br />of the Board of Veterans Affairs, was presented to the Board and accepted. <br />The minutes of. the last monthly meeting of the Planning Board were <br />presented to the Commissioners and discussed. <br />A certificate of Assuring Compliance with the Federal Civil Rights <br />Law in connection with the application for a grant from the Federal Government to <br />construct a Mental Health Clinic was presented to the Board and upon motion, the <br />Chairman was authorized to execute the certificate for and on behalf of the County. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Wicker,, seconded by Commissioner <br />Yow, it was unanimously RESOLVED to take bids for 4 police type automobile for <br />use by the Sheriff's Department, at 10:30 o'clock a. m., on April 1, 1968. <br />N. C. G. S. 163-67 provides that it is the duty of the County Hoard <br />of Elections to furnish a list of persons registered to fvote ull in the County, tof persons <br />making application for such list, providing they reimbursement the <br />expenses incurred in preparing them. <br />motion of Commissioner Whit <br />'Me Board of Commissioners, upon <br />seconded by Commissioner Wicker and unanimously adopted, RESOLVED that the <br />costs of preparation of the list presently published by the County Board of Elections <br />is $50.00 per set. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously adopted, it was RE <br />VED to begin deliberation as a Board of Equalization and Review, beginning 3 'c <br />p. m. , on April and the Tax Supervisor o motion of Commissioner White, seconded by <br />notice as provided ed by by law. upon <br />Commissioner McLeod, it was.
