Wicker Area) <br />in form prescribed for said election; and <br />WHEREAS, the said returns show that <br />said election was held in the following areas in <br />said County and that the total number of Voters <br />who wereregistered and qualified to vote at said <br />election ineach of said areas and the total number <br />of votes cast for the proposition to enlarge said <br />school unit and supplementary tax and the total <br />number of votes cast against the enlargement of <br />said school unit and supplementary tax were as <br />follows : <br />Number of Registered Voters <br />145 <br />159 <br />Votes cast For <br />111 <br />133 <br />304 244 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE <br />BOARD OF COMNIISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />(1) It is hereby determined and declared that the <br />number of voters registered and qualified to vote at said <br />election were: Area No. 1 - 145; Area No. 2 - 159. <br />18 <br />4 <br />22 <br />(2) The number of votes cast at said election for <br />enlargement of the school district and for a school tax of <br />the same rate in Area No. 1 was 145, and the number of <br />votes cast at said election against enlargement of said <br />school district was 18, and a majority of the qualified <br />voters of said Area No. 1 who voted at said election voted <br />to transfer and permanently attach said area to the Sanford <br />City Administrative Unit and for a School Tax of the same <br />rate. <br />(3) The number of votes cast at said election for <br />enlargement of the school district and for a school tax of <br />the same rate in Area No. 2 was 133, and the number of <br />votes cast at said election against enlargement of said <br />school district was 4, and a majority of the qualified <br />voters of said Area No. 2 who voted at said special eelction <br />voted to transfer and permanently attach said area to the <br />Sanford City Administrative Unit and for a School Tax of the <br />same rate. <br />(4) That all of said areas shall be transferred and <br />permanently attached to the Sanford City Administrative <br />Unit as of July 1, 1968, as by law provided, and the same <br />supplemental school tax shall be levied and assessed in said <br />areas beginning with the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1968, <br />all as provided by law. <br />Commissioner White seconded the motion and upon a vote it <br />was unanimously adopted. <br />Votes Cast Against <br />Page two <br />
