E <br />BOOK / ma?3U <br />-3b- <br />n <br />three years, and one shall be appointed to serve for a term of four years. Their <br />successors shall be appointed by the County Commissioners for terms of four years. <br />Any vacancy occuring prior to the expiration of a term shall be filled by appoint- <br />ment for the unexpired term. <br />The County Commissioners may at any time after notice and hearing remove <br />any Committee member for gross inefficiency, neglect of duty, malfeasance, and <br />misfeasance, or nonfeasance in office. <br />The County Commissioners shall designate one member of the Committee as <br />chairman. <br />Section 4. Responsibility of the Personnel Committee. The Committee will <br />be responsible for the continuous evaluation of Lee County°s Classification and <br />Pay Plan and Personnel Resolution <br />Proposed changes will be presented to the <br />Governing Board for it°s action. <br />Section 5. Employees Subject to Resolution. The provisions of this reso- <br />lution shall be applicable to all employees except as provided below: <br />(1) elected officials shall be exempt from the provisions of this <br />resolution. <br />(2) part-time officials appointed by the Governing Board, and <br />employees of advisory or special boards and commissions who work an irre- <br />gular schedule, shall be exempt from all provisions of this resolution. <br />(3) employees subject to the jurisdiction of the North Carolina State <br />Personnel Board and the North Carolina Agricultural Extension Service <br />shall be subject to all provisions of this Resolution except where other- <br />wise stated or except when in conflict with the North Carolina State <br />Personnel Act or rules or Federal or State laws governing employees of <br />the Agricultural Extension Service. <br />Page six <br />
