a 0 <br />- - <br />BOOK -7-FAGE 2043 <br />immediate family shall not be employed in the same administrative department at <br />the same time. Neither shall two members of an immediate family be employed at <br />the same time if such employment will result in an employee directly or indirectly <br />supervising a member of his immediate family. This policy applies to promotions, <br />demotions, transfers, reinstatements, and new appointments. No action is to be <br />taken concerning those members of the same family employed at the time of the <br />adoption of this Section. Immediate family is defined as wife, husband, mother, <br />father, daughter, son., sister, brother, half-sister, half-brother, stepmother, <br />stepfather, stepdaughter, stepson, stepsister, stepbrother, grandmother, grand- <br />father, granddaughter, grandson,, mother--in-law, father-in-law, daughter-in-law, <br />son-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, niece and nephew. <br />Section 6. Dismissal, A permanent employee whose work is determined <br />unsatisfactory over a period of time shall be notified in writing in what way <br />his work is deficient and what he mast do if his work is to be or become satis- <br />factory. A permanent employee may be dismissed by his department head if he <br />fails to perform work up to the standard of the classification which he holds <br />or is guilty of any of the following acts; <br />1. Fraud in securing appointment. <br />2. Lncompetancy. <br />3. Inefficiency. <br />4. Inexcusable neglect of duty. <br />5. Physical. or mental disability. <br />6. Insubordination. <br />7. Dishonesty. <br />8. Drunkenness on duty. <br />9. Inexcusable absence without leave. <br />10. Discourteous treatment of the public or other employees. <br />Page thirteen <br />
