• MOSEL EYARCH ITECTS <br />A P R O F E S S I O N A L C O R P O R A T I O N <br />CHARLOTTE <br />HARRISONBURG <br />RALEIGH-DURHAM <br />RICHMOND April 27, 2010 <br />VIRGINIA BEACH <br />WARRENTON RE: Lee County Jail Renovations <br />Lee County, North Carolina <br />Mr. John Crumpton, County Manager <br />Lee County, North Carolina <br />106 Hillcrest Drive <br />Sanford, North Carolina 27331 <br />Dear Mr. Crumpton: <br />Moseley Architects is pleased to offer this Agreement for Services with Lee <br />• County for architectural services to prepare Drawings and Technical <br />Specifications for the modifications to the two segregation cell areas to provide <br />access to natural daylight per state jail standards. Work will include new exterior <br />openings with detention grade glazing and frames, and an indirect passage to <br />the dayroom areas of each segregation Housing Area (total of 2) located near <br />visitation area of the jail. Minor wall demolition may be required as part of the <br />Work and the construction effort may be phased for each housing area. <br />Moseley Architects will design modifications to the existing toilet area 2033 near <br />the central control area to provide for a new padded cell for a single occupant. <br />Toilet fixtures will be removed, and a new floor toilet will be provided. Necessary <br />modifications will be made to the walls, door and frame to comply with the <br />required 1 hour rating. Detention grade cell padding will be provided on the floor <br />and walls and interior door panel of this space. Light fixtures and ceiling will be <br />of detention grade. A camera and intercom will also be provided. <br />Moseley Architects will review the up-fit diagram provided by the County for the <br />Basement area of the jail, for the proposed modifications to include Emergency <br />Operations, 911 Communications, and Sheriffs storage space. Moseley <br />Architects will provide an estimate of cost for this up-fit. These modifications will <br />not be included in our services or deliverables under this Agreement. <br />Our proposed services consist only of those described above and do not include <br />services related to bidding or construction. Our proposed compensation shall be <br />the lump sum of Fourteen Thousand, Eight Hundred and 001100 Dollars <br />($14,800.00). <br />• For other services not defined herein, compensation shall be as mutually agreed by <br />11430 NORTH COMMUNITY HOUSE ROAD SUITE 225 CHARLOTTE.
