GI <br />{LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: May 17, 2010 <br />ITEM NO IL E. <br />_ Information <br />_ Action Item <br />XX Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Additional Classification to County Pay Plan <br />DEPARTMENT: Department of Social Services <br />CONTACT PERSON: John Crumpton, County Manager <br />REQUEST: Add position of Child Support Supervisor II to the Lee County Pay <br />Plan in order to allow the downgrade of a position in the child <br />Support Unit of Social Services. <br />SUMMARY: In an effort to reduce administrative cost a Child Support Supervisor <br />III position is being reduced to a Child Support Supervisor II (Grade <br />68). This was made possible by adding the supervision of the <br />Program Integrity staff to the Work First/Day Care IM Supervisor. <br />This makes for a more reasonable ratio of supervisor to staff and <br />would not change the classification of the Work First/Day Care IM <br />Supervisor, while reducing . the administrative cost of the Child <br />Support Program. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: Current grade for the Income Maintenance Supervisor III is Grade <br />69 and the new classification requested is a Grade 68, making a <br />budget, impact decrease of $1,881 based on the yearly starting <br />salary. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): (1) Request letter from department director; and <br />(2) Lee County Classification and Pay Plan <br />PUBLIC HEARING: No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION: N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve reclassification of Child Support Supervisor position as <br />® requested and add Child Support Supervisor II position to County <br />Pay Plan <br />
