Yow <br />Alternate: Mrs. Kay Key <br />(Clerk, Tax office) <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Wicker, seconded by Commissioner White, it <br />was unanimously resolved to approve the appointments of the Tax Supervisor for <br />list takers and farm census enumerators. <br />Mr. Clark requested authority to rent a .'?.erox 914 copy machine for the <br />joint use of the Register of Deeds office and the Tax Supervisor's office. Upon <br />a motion of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Wicker, it was <br />unanimously resolved to authorize the rental of the Zerox 914 copier by the Tax <br />Supervisor and Register of Deeds. Said rental to be paid from the current <br />budget appropriated for said department. <br />Mr. W. B. Pittman and Dr. Mayberry of the Mental Health Department <br />appeared before the Board and discussed the matter of hiring an administrator <br />for the Mental Health Clinic and the method of establishing an administrative <br />board for the operation of the Lee-Harnett Mental Health Clinic. Nlr. Pittman <br />requested that the Board meet with the Board of Commissioners of Harnett <br />County to establish the administrative board. Upon motion of Commissioner Yaw, <br />seconded by Commissioner Wicker, it was unanimously resolved to authorize <br />Chairman Dotterer to meet with Chairman Brock with the Harnett Board of <br />County Commissioners to work out a suitable solution for Mr. Bill Smith as <br />administrator of the Lee-Harnett Mental Health Clinic. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Yaw, seconded by Commissioner Wicker, <br />it was unanimously resolved to authorize the,Board of Election to pay the Judges <br />and Registrars the standard wage provided in\the current Board budget for holding <br />the polls in the general election on November S, 1968. <br />Mr. Jeff Hockaday, Superintendent and Mr. J. R. Ingram, Chairman <br />of the Sanford City Board of Education, appeared before the Board and advised them <br />that the boiler was cracked in the McIver School. Mr. Joe Berry, Maintenance <br />Supervisor and Mr. Jewel Gunter, Gunter Electrical Company, both advised the <br />Board that in their opinion, repair of the boiler was unsafe and it should be replace( <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Yaw, seconded by Commissioner White, it was <br />unanimously resolved to authorize Sanford City Board of Education to take appro- <br />priate steps to replace the boiler in McIver School. <br />L , <br />
