0 <br />BOOK 7 PACE 33 8 ' <br />The statement received from Cross & Brinn Insurance Agency on the <br />property formerly belonging to the Sanford :Surgical Clinic was disapproved and <br />ordered returned with the notation that the bill would not be paid. The Chairman <br />read to the Board notices received about application for _Beerl: Licenses. _ , <br />The Chairman advised the Board that the Sheriff had inadverently omitted <br />the.name of Deputy Julian G. Thomas from the list of officers to receive pay increases: <br />Commissioner Joyce moved that a one-step raise be authorized for Deputy Julian G. <br />Thomas,' and that this action be effective as of March 1, 1969. Commissioner Gordon <br />Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Chairman advised the Board that action needed to be taken upon the <br />county wide water survey presented by P. H. Brown & Associates to the Board at <br />its March 3, 1969 meeting. Upon motion of Commissioner Frank Wicker, seconded <br />by Commissioner Joyce, it was unanimously resolved to adopt and approve the <br />county wide water and sewer survey as prepared and rendered by P. H. Brown & <br />Associates. <br />The written report of D. F. Holder, Sheriff of Lee County, was presented <br />to the Board. <br />The written report of Mr. Tom Haislip, County Agriculture Extension <br />Chairman, was presented to the Board. <br />The written report of Mr. John Wood, Electrical Inspector was presented <br />to the Board. <br />The monthly bills as tabulated by the County Accountant were approved for <br />payment upon motion of Commissioner Joyce, seconded by Commissioner Gordon <br />Wicker, and unanimously adopted. <br />The Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids on courtroom furniture <br />prior to the next meeting of the Board. <br />The bill of Phillip Electric Company for the contract price and additions <br />for wiring the second and third floors of the County Office Building were presented <br />and discussed. Upon motion of Commissioner Frank Wicker, seconded by <br />Commissioner Joyce, it was resolved to appropriate the sum of $12, 013.00 from the <br />unappropriated surplus in the general fund to the courthouse and office building fund <br />of the general account for the purpose of paying the bill of Phillip Electric Company. <br />Messrs. Joyce, F.. Wicker, G. Wicker and Dotterer all voted for the resolution <br />and no one voted against it. <br />Commissioner Gordon Wicker advised the Board that omission of the <br />exterior entrance in the new courtroom will provide a credit in the amount of <br />$1, 077.00 and that a low rail to divide the courtroom can be installed by L. P. Cox <br />Coiimpany at the price of $597.00. Commissioner Gordon Wicker moved that the <br />rail be installed and the exterior entrance omitted on the basis set out in said offer <br />by L. P.. Cox Company. Commissioner Frank Wicker seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, it was adjourned <br />sine die. <br />J Dr. John E. <br />Kenneth R.
