lei <br />6`bbK P11'cE <br />0 <br />The Chairman reported that the Board of Trustees of the Central Carolina <br />Technical Institute, had approved the transfer of the sum of $460. 00 from Code <br />1003, Water, Lights and Power, to Code 1002, Fuel, all within the current <br />expense fund, and had requested approval of the transfer by the Board of Commiss- <br />ioners. Upon motion of Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, duly seconded by <br />Commissioner White, it was RESOLVED to approve the transfer as set forth. <br />The vote was: <br />Aye: William B. Joyce, A. E. White, Franklin D. Wicker, Gordon A. <br />Wicker and Dr. John E. Dotterer <br />No : None <br />The written report from Lee County Sheltered Workshop was presented to <br />the Board showing the activities of that organization. <br />Mr. Pippins, State Forester, reported to the Board that he had been <br />elevated to a supervisory position and would be leaving the post at Rockingham <br />and his replacement would report to the Board shortly. <br />The Clerk was instructed to notify the Dixie Equipment Companyto please <br />complete the installation of the Courtroom seats. <br />The Chairman reported to the Board that he had received a letter from the <br />State Boigqrdthoef Social Services setting out that Mrs. Harold Mackey had been <br />appointed/Lee County Board of SocialServices. <br />The written report of the Agricultural Extension Department was <br />presented to the Board. <br />The written report of the County Tax, Collector, Mr. Nathan Crissman, <br />showing his collections for the preceding month, was presented to the Board. <br />The written report of Mr. John Wood, County Electrical Inspector, was <br />presented to the Board. <br />Chairman reported that they had received a letter from the Youth Councils <br />of North Carolina and the Clerk was instructed to write the representative of <br />that organization to meet with the Board at its next Regular Meeting. <br />Commissioner Joyce moveed that the sum of $16,970.00 be appropriated from <br />the unappropriated surplus in the General Fund for the Budget ending June 30, <br />1969, and appropriated to the following departments in the amounts indicated: <br />County Commissioners . . . . . . . . . . $ 750.00 <br />Sheriff's Department . . . . . . . . . . $ 1,200.00 <br />Register of Deeds Office . . . . . . . . . $ 340.00 <br />Social Security . . . . . . . . . . $ 1,025.00 <br />Buildings & Grounds Maintenance . . . . $ 2,400.00 <br />Elections . . . . . . . . . . $ 1, 300.00 <br />Armory . . . . . . . . . . $ 255.00 <br />Courthouse and Office Building . . . . . $ 9, 700.00 <br />Commissioner Franklin D.
