White moved that the bills as tabulated by <br />the County Accountant and supported by purchase orders be approved for <br />payment. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was duly adopted. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner A. E. White, seconded by Commission, <br />er Gordon A. Wicker, it was unanimously RESOLVED to appoint Mr. Jimmy L. <br />Love, as Tax Attorney and to set the fee for such services to be charged in the <br />bill of costs at $35. 00. <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that the recommend- <br />ations of the County Tax Supervisor for appointments of Tax Listing Personnel <br />be approved and that the following named people be appointed to the positions <br />indicated„ Commissioner Perry White seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />unanimously resolved to appoint the following persons to the position indicated: <br />West Sanford: 3 Mrs. Margaret Rush <br />Mrs. Caroline Lanier <br />Mrs. Reginald N. Jackson <br />East Sanford: 2 Mrs. Myrtle R. Harrington <br />Mrs. R.. L. Talley <br />Jonesboro: 2 Mrs. W. H. Brooks, Jr. <br />Mrs. Dorothy Cox <br />Cape Fear: Mrs. Paul M. Rosser <br />Greenwood: Mrs. J. Talmadge Wicker <br />Deep River: Mrs. Christine Herndon <br />Pocket: Mrs. M. D. Yow <br />The written report of Nathan Crissman, County Tax Collector, <br />was presented to the Board. <br />The Chairman reported to the Board that an invitation had been <br />received from the Sanford Jaycees for the Commissioners to participate in the <br />Christmas Parade. <br />The written report of D. F. Holder, Sheriff, on the activities <br />of his department was presented to the Board. <br />The written report of the Agricultural Extension Servic e was <br />presented to the Board. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, seconded by <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED <br />to promote Mrs. Margaret Fraiser from Step One to Step Two in her present <br />classification in the Sheriff's Department. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker reported that the Ambulance <br />Service had several bills for transporting patients from Pine Ridge Rest Home <br />to the Hospital for the changing or exchanging of catheters. <br />Page 4 <br />
