0 BQOK 7 PACE 412 WHEREAS, AUBREY E. WHITE married Miss Emma Johnson and was the devoted father of four daughters, Mrs. Frances W. Huffstetler, Miss Sophia White, Miss Eugenia White and Mrs. Deborah W. Neal, and his widow and daughters now survive him; and WHEREAS, AUBREY E. WHITE, during a long and success- ful career, set a high standard of personal conduct, evidencing in both his public and private life, unquestioned integrity, loyalty, selflessness, devotion to duty, and character of the highest degree, and conducted himself as a good and gentle man with kindness and courtesy to all; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Commissioners for Lee County, to honor the memory of AUBREY E. WHITE, and express its sympathy to his family in his death; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY: Section 1. The Board of Commissioners recognizes and expresses its appreciation for the public service rendered by AUBREY E. WHITE with full knowledge that in his passing, the County of Lee has lost an able Commissioner and a disting- uished citizen: Section Z. That this Resolution shall become a part of the public records of this Board and that the Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be transmitted to his widow. Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective upon its adoption. Commission Gordon Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on February 16, 1970, were approved and ordered recorded. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved the adoption of the following Resolution with respect to Secondary Road No. 1431, which is a dead end road across from the Deep River School: WHEREAS, the attached petition has been filed with the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Lee, requesting that the above described road, the location of which has been indicated in red on the attached map, be added to the Second= ary Road System; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion that the above described road should be added to the Secondary Road System, if the road meets minimum standards and criteria established by the State Highway Commission for the addition of roads to the System. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Lee that the State J Highway Commission is hereby requested to review the above described road, and to take over the road for mainte- nance if it meets established standards and criteria. r;
