BOOK 7 PACE 4-34 «3 WHEREAS, from an appraisal of said property the Commissioners are satisfied that such release will result in a net recovery for the County, State and Federal governments as large as would be made in any manner; and WHEREAS, said offer has been accepted and the funds paid to the County; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE: 1. Pursuant to the authority contained in N. C. General Statute 108-37.1 the one-fifth (1/5) undivided interest of Ella Coggins in and to the following described tract of land: Lying and being in Pocket Township, Lee County, North Carolina, and more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a stone with pine pointers. in S. Poe's line, said Gunter's corner; and running thence as said Poe's line, and Judd's Line, passing their corner West 32.40 chains to a pine stump, Judd's corner; thence, as another of his line, North 7 West 1.62 chains to another of his corners, pine and cedar pointers; thence, as another of his lines, and passing his corner and with Russell's line,' West 19.16 chains to a stake white oak cedar gum and pine pointers, Russell and J. B. Cameron's corner; thence, as said Cameron's line, North 30 East 28.50 chains to stone with pointers, his corner and a corner of the Bland land; this corner being in an old road; thence, as the Bland line, North 82 1/2 East (old call 75 deg.) 723 chains to a stake (old call 8.25) Red Oak and White Oak pointers; another of the corners of the Bland land; thence, as another of its lines, North 8.50 chains to the corner near a small branch, maple and willow pointers; thence, as another of its lines, East 31.75 chains to the corner in the edge of a field; thence, as another of its lines, South 38 East 17.18 chains to the corner in the old road; thence, as said Gunter's line, South 25 West 26,75 chains to the BEGINNING, containing 169 acres more or less, it being the same tract of land conveyed by D. E. McIver, Comm- issioner, to said Geor. Cole. See also Deed Book 12, page 592, Lee County Register of Deeds office. be and the same is hereby released from the Old Age Assistance lien presently held and of record in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court for Lee County. 2. That a duly executed copy of this release be certified to the Clerk of Superior Court of Lee County to be filed and indexed as required by law.
