0 0 <br />Boni( 7 PAST 446 <br />It appearing that the street had never been opened on the ground, had <br />never been taken over for maintenance by the State Highway Commission, and the <br />petitioners were all of the parties owning property adjoining said street, the Board <br />concluded the closing of said road is not contrary to the public interest. Commissioner <br />William H. Cooper moved the Clerk be authorized to give the required notice and <br />schedule a public hearing on~said matter. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Chairman Dotterer circulated letters received relating to the tax rate <br />and they were discussed and considered by the Board. <br />Commissioner William H. Cooper reported on his conferences with the <br />City of Sanford officials concerning use of the city dump for solid waste disposal. <br />Commissioner Cooper reported the minimum figure for use would be $5, 000 a year. , <br />The County Attorney reported on his negotiations for the purchase of <br />the Willett property and the offer of sale for $11, 500. After discussion and review <br />by the Board, Commissioner William H. Cooper moved the County purchase the <br />property for $11, 500 and the necessary funds be transferred from the unappropriated <br />surplus in the General Fund to this account for this purpose. Commissioner Gordon <br />A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a roll call it was unanimously adopted as <br />follows: <br />AYE: Cooper, White, F. Wicker, G.
