0 <br />BOOK 7 i'ACf .46$ <br />The written report of the Agricultural Extension Service was <br />presented to the Board. <br />The written report of the Tax Collector was presented to the <br />Board. <br />The Chairman reported to the Board that a continuation Certificate had <br />been received from the Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland, upon Bond <br />No. 80-30-884, covering Mr. Nathan D. Crissman; as Tax Collector. <br />The Chairman reported that the Railroad House Association had sent <br />a letter of appreciation for the maintenance of the Historical Museum, as eviden- <br />ced by its budget appropriation. <br />The Chairman reported that a Properties Inspection Report had been <br />received from the insurance carrier and that this report had been referred to <br />Mr. Brewer, the Maintenance Supervisor, for his guidance. <br />There was a discussion about acquiring an additional car for the <br />Sheriff's Department, but no formal action was taken. <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that the Board oppose the <br />closing of the Western Union office in Sanford and that notice of the action of <br />the Board be sent to the Federal Communications Commission. Commiss oner <br />William H. Cooper seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />There being no further business to come before said Session, it was <br />upon motion made, seconded and duly adopted, adjourned until Monday, September <br />21, 1970, to reconvene at the Commissioners's Room in the County Office <br />Building at the corner of Steele and Wicker Streets in the City of Sanford. <br />Chairman <br />V <br />Atte t: <br />Clerk <br />
