b08 7 oxft 496 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE Friday, November 27, 1970 The Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' Room of the County Office Building at the corner of Wicker and Steele Streets, Sanford, North Carolina, at 4:30 o'clock p. m., on Friday, November 27, 1970, the same being the time, date and place specified in the call for the special meeting issued by the Chairman. The Chairman called the meeting to order and on roll call, the following answered present: William H. Cooper, Perry White, Franklin D. Wicker, Gordon A. Wicker and John E. Dotterer. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: The Chairman announced that the meeting had been called to consider the appointments of the Board of Directors of Lee County Hospital and that the floor was open for nominations. Commissioner Perry White moved that Mr. Orton J. Cameron, Mr. Forrest L. Stevens and Mrs. Josephine Sheer, be appointed to the Board of Directors of the Lee County Hospital for four year terms. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Gordon Wicker reported that the County had submitted bids for the purchase of two automobiles from the State of North .Carolina. They were the successful bidder for two Ford automobiles, one automobile at a price of $ and another automobile at a price of $ The Board, upon motion made, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, approved and confirmed the action in submitting said bids and author- ized the expenditure of said funds for the purchase of said automobiles.
