BOOK 7 PACE 490 <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />PETITION FOR-CLOSING ROADWAY <br />LEE COUNTY ) <br />-y <br />TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY: <br />The undersigned property owners in the County of Lee, <br />State of North Carolina,.respectfully petition and represent <br />as follows: <br />That the petitioner, W. R. Makepeace, Jr., owns all of <br />Lots Nos. 22, 23 and 24 as shown on the map attached to this <br />petition which said lots are restricted for the construction of <br />one residence thereon; that the petitioner, Dempsey M. Jones, <br />owns all of Lots Nos. 19, 20 and 21 as shown on the map attached <br />to this petition which said lots are restricted for the con- <br />struction of one residence thereon; that the said map showing <br />the above referenced lots is duly recorded in Map Book 8, page <br />11, Lee County Registry; that the unnamed roadway leading north <br />from South Holiday Lake Road as shown by said map and which abutts <br />each of Lots Nos. 19, 20,. 21, 22, 23 and 24 is open and at the <br />present time is used solely for night parking purposes by those <br />who leave refuse and beer cans littering the property; that for <br />the purpose of development the said Lots Nos. 19,.20 and 21 con- <br />stitute one lot which has frontage on the street known as South <br />Holiday Lake Road and Lots Nos. 22,..23 and 24 constitute another <br />lot which has frontage on the street known as 'South Holiday Lake <br />Road; that the unnamed roadway which leads north from South Holiday <br />Lake Road is therefore unnecessary as 'a means of ingress and egress <br />for adjoining property owners and is unnecessary as a street for <br />either public or private purposes; that each of the undersigned <br />petitioners is of the opinion that the closing of said unnamed <br />roadway north from South Holiday Lake Road as shown on the attached <br />map would not be contrary to public interest nor deprive any indi- <br />vidual of reasonable means of ingress and egress and desires that <br />5 <br />~5 <br />
