LM <br />BON 7 na 485 <br />NO <br />Sanford of the Triangle Commission on Law and Order at 6:30 o'clock <br />that evening and also that there would be a meeting of the County Planning <br />Board to discuss zoning at 7:30 o'clock p. m., that evening,. and that there <br />would be a meeting at 4:00 o'clock p. m. on Solid Waste Disposal at the <br />Federal Building. <br />Mr. Rex McLeod, Mr. Douglas Johnson and Mr. Sion Kelly, <br />appeared before the Board on behalf of the Lee County Youth Development <br />Commission and discussed renovation plans for the old New Hope School <br />Building. The County Attorney was instructed to inquire as to the feasibility <br />of acquiring title to this structure and the plans for the renovation were turned <br />over to the County Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds for his examination. <br />Mr. Hugh Brewer, Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds appeared <br />before the Board and discussed the status and condition of the County Buildings. <br />The Clerk was instructed to locate the bond of the roof to the Courthouse <br />Addition and to assist Mr. Brewer in obtaining repair of the leak in the roof. Mr. <br />Brewer was authorized to cut off the water to the floors of the County Office <br />Building which were not being utilized. <br />After discussion among the members,. Chairman Wicker announced <br />it would be his policy to begin all future meetings at 9:30 o'clock a. m., and to <br />continue the practice of meeting on the first and third Mondays of each month. <br />Chairman Wicker and Vice Chairman William H. Cooper both expressed <br />to the members of the Board their appreciation for their appointment and pledged <br />to give their best efforts to the efficient management of the County's affairs. <br />Commissioner William H. Cooper moved the adoption of the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, JOHN E. DOTTERER, M. D., was <br />elected a Commissioner for,the, County of Lee and served in <br />this capacity from December 3rd , 19 62 , until December <br />6, 1970; <br />AND WHEREAS,. JOHN E. DOTTERER, M. D., <br />served as, Chairman of. the. Board of Commissioners from <br />December 7th 19 64 until December 6, 1970; <br />AND WHEREAS, JOHN E. DOTTERER, M. D., <br />gave freely of his time and talents and diligently worked for the <br />betterment of Lee County while serving in such positions; <br />AND WHEREAS, JOHN E. DOTTERER, M. D <br />did not seek re-election and has temporarily retired from <br />public,:service in an official capacity; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the <br />Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, as follows: <br />(1) That it express its appreciation forthe <br />services rendered to the people of Lee County by JOHN E. <br />DOTTERER,. M. D. <br />
