BK:00025 PG:0561 <br />Product Improvement Recommendations <br />020 <br />Product improvement recommendations will be based on an assessment performed in advance of <br />the Strategic Planning Process. Creative EDC is already reviewing product for the EDC. <br />Outcomes of the product assessment could result in recommendations to: <br />• Extend or enhance infrastructure <br />• Add additional acreage to existing sites <br />• Improve access <br />• Upgrade curb appeal <br />• Alter marketing message/position of the park/site <br />• Form public-private partnerships to enhance product <br />• Structuring real estate as part of an incentive package <br />Target Sectors <br />Creative EDC will review target sectors of the Research Triangle Regional Partnership and <br />neighboring counties and identify which sectors would be a good fit for Lee County.This will be <br />not a fiill target industry analysis study. Because of the size of Lee County, we believe we can <br />capture cluster opportunities through a regional review. <br />Organizational Development <br />A strategic plan is only as effective as the organization tasked with carrying it out. Too often, <br />good economic development strategies are left on the shelf because there are not enough <br />resources for implementation. In order to ensure Lee County has the capacity for <br />implementation, We will determine optimum staffing and budget levels, staff responsibilities <br />and organizational structure. , <br />Economic Development Strategic plan, Program of Work, and Organization Development <br />Deliverables <br />The Lee County Strategic Economic Development Plan will be an integrated report that includes <br />all of the elements of this scope of work. Itis imperative that the resulting program of work be <br />clearly ed, implementable, and efficient. It is imperative that the organization be transparent <br />and roles and responsibilities outlined. <br />10 <br />
