0 53 County Manager's Report — May 16, 2016 Onaoina Proiects San Lee Park — Bids were received on Tuesday May 10th at 2:00 pm. Due to the deadline for this report I will not be able to report anything on the bids until the June 2nd meeting. HH Architects and staff will be reviewing the bids and making a recommendation to the Board for the award at that meeting. Other Items Land Use Plan Revision — The Joint Planning Board met with the consultant for the Land Use Plan revision on Thursday April 28th. Attached you will find the report given to the Board from the consultant. The PowerPoint report gives a timeline for development of the plan. It is expected to take up to a year to get the plan to final adoption by the Board of Commissioners, City of Sanford and the Town of Broadway. GFOA Award — For the 20th consecutive year the Lee County Finance Office, under the direction of Lisa Minter, has been awarded the GFOA award for excellence in financial reporting. The award was given for the FY 2014-15 annual audit and financial report. Lee County Arts & Community Center — The Lee County Arts Council has approached me to discuss the transfer of the grassy area along Horner Blvd. to the Council. The grassy area is used mainly for parking at events at the Center. The Council already owns the old school and paved parking areas. In addition, the basketball court is leased to the Council for 50 years. The Council has received a large cash donation and wants to use the funds to add additional paved parking and improve the existing parking areas. The grassy area was not transferred to them because of maintenance/moving concerns. This formal request will be made at the Commissioners next meeting. Reports Building Inspections Report — Please find attached the April Building Inspections Report. Community Development/Activity Summary — Please find attached the TRC (Technical Review Committee) agenda for the April 2016 meeting. Tax Report — Please find attached the Tax Collection Summary Report for April. Sandhills Center — Attached year to date financial report for the period ending, March 31, 2016.
