C. iI:J <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />MARCH 15, 2010 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners fob e County of Lee, State of North <br />Carolina, convened at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners' Roor County Government Center, 106 <br />Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commis one present were Amy M. Dalrymple, <br />Richard B. Hayes, James C. Kelly, Larry "Doc" Oldham Nathan E.F19schal, Robert T. Reives, and <br />Linda A. Shook. <br />Chairman Hayes called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered th ovation. <br />• The pledge of allegiance was recite . <br />The Board conducted joint d a s with the Lee County Planning Board at this time. <br />Planner Althea Thompson presented in rmatio pertaining to the first rezoning petition submitted by <br />Carl Bunnell to rezone appro imately 5.21 acres of land located at the southwest corner of Lark Lane <br />and Jefferson Davis High a' fro esidential Restricted (RR) district to Highway Commercial (HC) <br />district. <br />Chairman Hayes opened joint public hearing that had been advertised for this date and time. <br />The following individuals spoke in favor of the rezoning petition: <br />1. Mr. Carl Bunnell, 7716 Morning Dove Drive <br />2. Mr. Tony Lewis, 7804 Wallaby Lane <br />3. Mr. David Bryant, President, Quail Ridge Property Owners Association <br />No one present spoke in opposition to the rezoning petition. <br />Chairman Hayes closed the public hearing. <br />Mr. Marshal Downey, Assistant Community Development Director outlined the second hearing <br />which involved two text amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance (LIDO). Mr. Marshall <br />stated the public hearing was to consider text amendments to the LIDO for the following: <br />• Waive the performance bond for all forms of government-owned <br />wireless towers. <br />
