BCCn 23 !"!a ~ 1 <br />The following spoke in "opposition" of and "in favor" of the project: <br />Opposition <br />Mr. Russell Noel - strongly opposed to increase in spending, will put <br />tax payers further in the toilet bowl, Board of Commissioners have <br />failed the citizens of Lee County, sees a tax increase in the near future. <br />In Favor <br />Dr. Lynn Smith - good expense for the tax payers, additional funding is <br />essential to the project, will be wonderful for the school and children, <br />must plan for future educational needs, funding is needed to provide a <br />safe environment at the school. <br />Mr. Chet Mann - urged Commissioners to stay the course to see the <br />project completed, could result in an unfinished project in years to <br />come if not funded at this time, need to be smart in completing the <br />project. <br />Mr. David Nestor- quality of the high school is imperative, time to get <br />work completed, don't do a half-baked job on the project. <br />4. Mr. Bill Ray - school is number one priority in Lee County at this time, <br />asked the Board of Commissioners to step forward, go forward and <br />complete the project. <br />Mr. Brandon Partridge - student at Lee Senior High School - in <br />support of project, renovations is much needed. <br />Mr. John Grossfuss - student at Lee Senior High School - in support of <br />project, asking that the project be completed. <br />Mr. Dylan Westrick - student at Lee Senior High School - asking that <br />the project be completed, students need better facilities in order to <br />learn. <br />Ms. Denise Abell - student at Lee Senior High School - wants to see <br />the project completed, with Fort Bragg expanding a newer and better <br />school needs to be constructed. <br />Ms. Cierra Ferquson - student at Lee Senior High School - project <br />needs to be completed; school is currently in bad condition. <br />
